Michelle Olaithe
Lead Clinical Psychologist & Researcher
I am looking forward to getting to know you, your strengths, and your challenges. Our therapy will be rooted in a strong therapeutic alliance, so that you feel heard and held. This alliance, in which you feel valued and respected, is the vehicle through which we can make lasting change to the way you feel, think, and act in your life.
This must be matched with an agenda and plan that we will set together, matching your needs and presenting problems with a science-backed therapeutic intervention. You will, after all bring the expertise of your life and I can bring the psychological training and knowledge. I am committed to hearing you and helping you find meaningful action.
I am an active researcher, a clinical director, and have written many published articles and encyclopedia entries. I have worked with a diverse range of clients including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families and have extensive experience working with people with mental health difficulties and co-morbid sleep, diet, and activity problems. I have a keen interest in working with people with low mood, self-esteem, anxiety, neurodivergence, and interpersonal difficulties. My work has taken me around the world to analyse sleep databases, worked within private clinics, sleep centres, and university settings.
I rely heavily on schema-based, interpersonal, and practical therapeutic modalities, always with a person-centred, trauma-informed approach.
